Cinderella is a fresh new musical twist on the classic fairy tale you grew up with. Our protagonist (Cabello) is a driven young woman with higher desires than the world will allow, yet she is able to endure and achieve her goals with the support of her Fab G (Billy Porter).
Cinderella boasts an all-star cast that includes Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan, and was written for the cinema and directed by Kay Cannon with versions of songs penned by some of the top-selling musical artists of all time.
James Corden, Leo Pearlman, Jonathan Kadin, and Shannon McIntosh serve as producers, with Louise Rosner and Josephine Rose serving as executive producers.
It is a fresh perspective on the traditional tale, produced by Columbia Pictures and Fulwell 73, and portrays a teenage Cinderella who lives with her violent and overprotective stepmother and stepsisters.
